Get thee behind me, pumpkin spice. Summer isn't over yet. My husband and I went on a nature walk around a beautiful, clear pond recently, and we saw beavers swimming in the distance. They may have been working. I would have liked to see some of their dam work, but they were too dam far.
My summer goal is to always be around clear, cerulean water. Next year, when they have perfected the COVID vaccine, I will be floating in some ice cold, river water, for sure. In the meantime, I will float in my bathtub like a sad sea lion while my cat sits nearby, worried about my well-being.
